ABOUT

Birth of 4 Champs

Lamon Brewster is a former professional boxer who left a lasting impression on the sport of boxing during his career. Born on June 5, 1973, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Brewster began his boxing career in the early 1990s and quickly made a name for himself as a formidable opponent in the heavyweight division.

Brewster's career was marked by impressive victories and devastating defeats, but he always maintained a reputation as a fierce competitor who never backed down from a challenge. He was known for his powerful punching ability and his tenacity in the ring, and his fighting style earned him a legion of fans who admired his grit and determination.

Perhaps the most significant moment of Brewster's career came in 2004, when he faced off against Ukrainian heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko for the WBO heavyweight title. Despite being considered a heavy underdog, Brewster stunned the boxing world by knocking out Klitschko in the fifth round, securing the title and cementing his place in boxing history.

In the years that followed, Brewster continued to fight at the highest level of the sport, taking on some of the biggest names in the heavyweight division, including Sergei Liakhovich, Andrew Golota, and Monte Barrett. Although he suffered some tough losses in these fights, Brewster never lost his fighting spirit, and he remained a respected and admired figure in the world of boxing until his retirement in 2010.

Today, Lamon Brewster is remembered as one of the great heavyweight boxers of his generation, a fighter who always gave his all in the ring and left everything on the canvas. His legacy as a fierce and fearless competitor will continue to inspire generations of boxers to come, and his place in boxing history is secure.

In 2014, Lamon Brewster set out to give Indiana fighters something that he never received himself as a professional fighter. He wanted to give them a chance to fight in their own communities in front of friends and family. That is where 4 Champs and the Midwest Boxing Showcase was formed. It was a clear and concise plan that would place Indiana on the boxing map nationally. Lamon's first goal was to establish 4 Champs in Indianapolis, the midwest, internationally, and eventually make it a worldwide household name. Under Lamon's watchful eye 4 Champs has become the go-to promoter in the Indiana and Chicago area.
